Textual content description offered by the architects. Triumfalnaya sq. is positioned on the crossing of Moscow’s major road Tverskaya with the Backyard Ring. Buromoscow design has been chosen on account of a primary open competitors for a public sq. in Moscow in 2013. The competitors aimed toward bringing again to life metropolis sq. by Soviet architect Chechulin in-built 1958, that within the final years turned a transit area, half occupied by parking. Buromoscow proposed 5 steps for enchancment:
- Divide a sq. and a backyard
Competitors plot was divided into two zones – an oblong open sq. and a lilac backyard, enclosed by partitions, that helps form the road crossing.
- Flatten the sq.
The sq. floor had a powerful inclination, which made using it somewhat tough. By flattening the floor and elevating the sting, the sq. turned indifferent from a busy road.
- Make it extra classical.
The sq. is framed by classical Soviet facades. New central axis and linden bushes on the perimeter are added to strengthen classical composition.
- Add romance
Triumfalnaya sq. is traditionally a spot for rendezvous, a romantic place within the metropolis. As a substitute of benches, there’s a lengthy row of two individuals swings.
- Add extra romance
Lilac backyard offers the place a real Moscow interior courtyard really feel.
Triumfalnaya sq. has been delivered in 2015. From an area of transit, it changed into an area of keep, being at all times full of individuals – assembly up, having espresso, live performance goers, skate boarders, vapers, musicians. It instantly turned very fashionable with Moscovites queueing any time of the day, in summer season or winter to make use of the swings.
