Textual content description supplied by the architects. The indoor biking studio “Refuse” opens its doorways in Guadalajara.
Refuse was impressed by the Tour de France. The most important biking race on this planet, and athletic occasion with custom and multiculturalism stuffed with shade. Particularly their posters from the 1920s to 1950s.
The interior design was sought to problem the aesthetics of those studios via shade, mild sources, and supplies.
For this second institution, the designers determined to emphasise the lengthy kilometers traveled on this race by leaving the obvious ceiling in concrete and overlaying partitions and doorways with this materials. With the intention of producing a motivational and dynamic expertise for customers.
Just like the Tour de France, the venue is split into levels. For the reception space, the model’s subdued colours predominate, and three-level stands emulate a podium inviting the cyclists to collect earlier than and after the problem.
The subsequent space is the preparation space, the place the colours intensify and the choice of supplies turns the house right into a extra city setting. The loos positioned on the edges have illuminated mirrors, geometric shapes, and colours for each. It is a transition house to enter the studio. The place a tunnel of lights on the finish of the realm motivates you to cross it and be part of the nice problem.
Entering into the darkish biking studio, the place a recreation of deconstructed lights will invite you to provide it your all with out desirous to cease!
Refuse to cease!
